An awkward exchange between Prince William and Prince Andrew at a recent family funeral has resurfaced after Andrew gave up use of his royal titles.

Born in 2003, Lady Louise Windsor is the elder child of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. However, she is lower in the line of succession than her younger brother because she was born before a law came into force scrapping the system that meant a younger son could displace an older daughter.

This is reportedly not all, as The Sunday Times reports that Prince William will go even further when he is King, banning Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson from public and private royal events and state occasions, including his coronation. This ban will reportedly not extend to the couple’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

In the royal family, tradition has held that the heir to the throne serves in the military, as when they take the throne they become the Commander-in-Chief of the British Armed Forces. Both King Charles and Prince William served, as did Prince Harry.

After Prince Andrew announced that he was giving up his royal title, his page on the royal family's official website was updated to remove the "Duke of York" title.

The beloved Princess Diana Memorial Playground in Kensington Gardens will close next month for refurbishment. The new and improved playground will retain the characteristics of the existing Peter Pan-inspired playground but will provide more accessible, inclusive and physically challenging play, it has been announced.
